Blondie

2006, 15'2-15'3h reg. QH mare, ($2500, out on a lease/option)

Blondie was started by PonyPros at age 2.5. She was ridden one day a week until she was 3, and then began riding 1-3 days per week. In Summer 2010, she was purchased by one of the dads in our program who rode her in the arena and on trails. He is a total beginner and Blondie did well taking him out on trails and getting him riding bareback and with a saddle. Spring 2011, we began preparing Blondie for sale as the dad does not have enough time for her. Blondie rides walk/trot/canter, takes her leads both ways, and jumps a small course at a canter. She has only been hauled off property one time, so needs work on going new places, but is good on the trails across the street. She rides great with beginners of all ages but is under utilized in that realm and would do well with an intermediate rider or advanced rider who wanted to develop her. She is very light on the aids and has very rhythmic gaits. Great ground manners - the farrier loves her. We think she would excel as a low-level hunter, though she also has great gaits and carriage for Western Pleasure. We would like to see her go to a teen or adult based on her size, age, and character.

Blondie is excellent at groundwork. She does all 7 Games with less than phase 1. She jumps the barrels, will sidepass just about anything, and is great at YoYoing through squeezes. She loves to free-jump and will head right at the jump, turn around, and jump back over it. She's awesome with tarps and all kinds of Friendly games. She rides great bareback.

Blondie is light on the aids under saddle and understands halfpass and shoulder-in. She is uncomplicated to ride but does nice finesse work.

Blondie is regularly ridden by kids as young as 7 and adult beginners. We have also used her for vaulting at a trot. Blondie is young, so is not a finished horse, but she is very sweet and kind. She has not had almost zero experience hauling out, so she will need training to get her comfortable going new places. Blondie is a very nice mover and would be great for hunters. She also has a good play drive when you encourage it.

Blondie could be sold with a new Barefoot Cheyenne treeless size 2 with VPS panels, wool dressage girth, HAF pad, and sidepull with cotton reins.
