Custom Ponies:
Lately we have been doing a lot of custom ponies. These ponies are 3-4 year old ponies who come to us for 4-6 months of training before going home. A custom pony is $3500-$5500 with training. The advantage of a custom pony is that there are many to choose from and you can ask for the pony to be trained for specific activities or tricks.

Evans Caron - 2007, 11'2-12h, Sec B Welsh mare, $1700 Caron rides wtc and canters crossrails. She has excellent ground manners and is a very pretty mare. Caron would do well as a short stirrup pony or small pony hunter. She also likes trails and trail obstacles. She has been harnessed and is almost ready to hitch.

Vanity's Bonfyre - 12'1h, 2006 Sec B Welsh gelding, (sale pending) Peanut rides wtc and canters a course with 8-11 year old riders. Just starting his changes. He knows a lot of tricks, including laying down and sitting up. Peanut enjoys trail riding and jumping. Sadly outgrown.

Neverland's Golden Lace Kiarra - 12h, 2007 Sec B Welsh mare, $2500 Kiarra is riding wtc and trail riding with a 9 year old boy. She took first in a trail class at a Welsh show last year. Kiarra rides well in a halter or bitted. She is cute and kind. Posting for Lisa Ellefson.

Evans Warwick - 11'3h, 2006 Sec B Welsh gelding (sold Nov 2011) Wallie is a super fun 5 year old gelding with a little tiny trot and canter. He's a great confidence builder, with just enough pony silliness to teach a child to ride. Wallie is a real sweet heart and knows many tricks like laying down and sitting up. Sadly outgrown.

Blue-Eyed Buccaneer (Blue Man) - 2003, 12'1 1/2h, Sec A Welsh gelding, (staying in our program) Blue Man is charming and fun. He has a big play drive but is also kindhearted and mellow. Blue loves to push the ball and is great playing the games with young kids. Blue is respectful but also has a good sense of humor. He's very handsome, a lot of fun to be around, and though he is aware, he is not spooky. He's very talented and is a nice all around English pony.

Pixie - 2000, 10'1, Welsh/Mini mare $800 Pixie is a great leadline, longeline, and walk/trot pony. She has wonderful ground manners and is suitable as a child's first pony. Can carry 55lbs for her regular rider and 70lbs for a tune-up.

Evans Thistle Isle (sold) - 1999, Approx. 12-12'2h Sec A Welsh mare $2500 Thistle is a wonderful, kind-hearted pony. She is virtually bombproof and great for longeline lessons. Thistle stands still and calm for someone to stand on her back. She has excellent leading manners, taking care not to walk on little feet, and is gentle and reliable. Thistle loves to play with tarps, balls, and other obstacles, and is great at liberty. Thistle is a nice size for kids up to the age of 13. Photos, video, info on her page.

Morton's the Celebrity (sold) - 2001, 12.1 3/4h, Sec B Welsh, $6500 Celeb is so gentle that he was started undersaddle by a 14 year old. This gelding is an extremely fancy top of the line small with lovely movement. He has a great walk, trot, and canter, and is schooling small courses. Ready to start work on changes. Celebrity is also beautiful dressage pony and is great on the trails. This summer, he helped an adult beginner get her first experiences trail riding. Celeb is very quiet with excellent manners and a sweet, loving disposition. He's your typical nice gelding.

Crossrail On the Mark (sold) - 1995, 12-12'2h, Sec B Welsh, $2500 Markey is full of character and very fun. He is quiet and knows his job but still has a spring in his step. Markey is fun pony for a child to ride because he will take it slow and happily stay at a walk, given the choice, but isn't lazy at the trot or canter. Markey takes his leads and has had quite a bit of show experience. He is a real ham for attention and LOVES people. Markey is 14 and will easily take 3 more kids through short stirrup, 4H, or pony club. We think Markey would love a home where he would be the center of attention.

Dusty (sold)-11h, 1999 gelding Dusty is a light, responsive, forward moving pony. He lunges nicely and has an easy riding ambling gait in between trotting and walking, which is a great confidence builder for kids. He is easy to steer, has a good stop, backs easily, and has excellent ground manners. Kids can tack him up by themselves without tying him. He is a step up from a leadline pony, but still a good first or second pony. Dusty is great for gaming and jumping for eager kids ages 5 and up.

Sabino Lace (sold)-11'1 1/2h, 6 yo mare Nina is an absolutely exquisite pony, though very hard to photograph. Her beautiful, wide blaze fades out into a strawberry coat, like white lace worn by a red headed bride. She has knee high stockings that make you think of Shirley Temple and the most precious face you've ever seen. She looks like a pony a princess would ride. Nina is currently in professional training.

Beau Jangles (sold) - 12h, 2003 Sec A Welsh gelding, $3500 Beau is going over fences with youth riders and doing very well. He's Mr. Personality. Very ponyish and lots of fun. Beau has an adorable wide Welsh forehead, big eyes, and tiny ears. Beau is still a little green as he is only 6, so he is priced accordingly. He is eagerly waiting a young rider of his very own. Beau is also available for an in-barn lease.

Polecat "Billy" (sold) - 12'2h, 2003 Sec B Welsh gelding $5000 Billy is a well trained, child-ready gelding. He has many blues to his name and is a wonderful small pony hunter. Billy has great form over fences and is a fun mount for a child rider. He is also very gentle and kindhearted with kids on the ground and plays the Parelli games.

Evans Lilwen (Lily)- 12'3-13'1, 2007 Sec B Welsh mare, $2500 (sold) Lilwen is sweet, gentle, and quiet. She loves people and is not hot. Lily likes to be groomed and loved on. She is started on the 7 games and was very good about being introduced to the saddle. Lily has been backed 1 time and is ready to learn more. She should make a very calm and sweet pony for riders up to the age of 13. Evaluated by PonyPros June 2010.

Evans Southern Comfort (sold)- 12'3h, 2007 gelding, $2500 Cinnamon is stunning, friendly, and fun. He is a nice size for riders up to about age 12. Cinnamon is gorgeous with 4 stockings a blaze. He will be a wonderful mount for home or show. Will be started by PonyPros Spring 2010.

Marley (sold) - 2004 gelding, 14h, Marley is devastatingly handsome and a total joy to be around. He is great with kids of all ages and will do everything from teach your young rider to post to start them cantering courses. Marley is a truly unique pony. He has a puppy-dog personality and is just a hair on the lazy side, but will ride all day and is athletic and fun. Marley has done lots of kids lessons and will have your little rider off the lunge and riding independently in just a few days. At the same time, Marley is an outstanding dressage mount and can jump the moon.

Starry Night - 14h BLM Mustang mare Starry is a kind, sweet, friendly mare. She has a lovely build and would be great for dressage. She moves like a little Lusitano. She also has a very cute jump. Suitable for intermediate rider. Posting for Marietta Roby.

Flame (sold)- 14h, 16 yo, unreg. Quarter Pony mare, $1750 Flame is well trained and a wonderful Western or English Pleasure horse. She was leased to a 7 year old for the summer. The 7 year old's granddad also used her for elk and deer hunting in the fall and she did great. Flame has a really smooth jog and is a very kind girl. She is submissive in the herd but gets along well with other horses. Flame is just a great, no non-sense family mount.

Witchwood Twister - 2006, 12'3 1/2h, Welsh/Pinto mare, $3000 Twister is a gentle, big-bodied mare with a great temperament. She is calm and quiet and a joy to be around. Twister is currently riding walk/trot and trotting crossrails, and is ready for a confident youth rider.

Evans Conaire (sold)- 11'3-12'1h, 2007 gelding, $2500 This is a golden colt with a golden pedigree. Conner has an incredible flat kneed trot with lovely extension and his canter is even better. This beautiful boy is the product of a import to import pedigree which includes the best of the Welsh World today. He has a very exotic head, elegant neck, laid back shoulder, and is a true gentleman to handle. Conner was evaluated by PonyPros June 2010. He was wonderful with 8 year old Zoey and is a very fast learner. He's obedient, quiet, intelligent, willing, and sweet. Conner will be an awesome family pony. Evans Dylis - 2008, 12h, Sec B Welsh gelding, $1500 Dylis is a stunning gelding. He is still very shy but shows great potential. He is a beautiful mover and with refined features.

Evans Jadyn- 2006 mare, $2500 (sold) Jadyn is tiny and sweet. She loves the trails and is naturally quiet and obedient. She is not a tester. Evans Sion - 2008, 12'1 1/2h, Sec B Welsh gelding, $2500 Sion is a fun-loving chestnut gelding who loves to play. He is substantially built and is a great size for riders up to 13. Sion is now 3 years old. He was backed a few times as a 2 year old and was a very good boy. Sion has a great sense of humor and loves to do tricks. Sion's brother grew late, so Sion may mature 12'2-13h. Evaluated by PonyPros June 2010.

Evans Cirque du Alegrie - 2003, 12.1h, Sec B Welsh mare, $2500 Almond is another awesome Evans bred pony. She came to PonyPros for an evaluation March 21st, 2010 to see what sort of a tune-up she needed after a year off to have a foal. Her foal is gorgeous and she was a great mom. Almond will be a great pony for pleasure or shows after getting back into her riding career.

Evans Command Performance (Candy Kane)- 12'2-13h, 2007 Sec B Welsh gelding, $2500 Kane has a beautiful topline, knee-high stockings on all four feet, a blaze, and a wonderful creamy caramel color. He also has pretty white flecks along his legs. Kane is very attentive and intuitive. He is a thinker and should be very good for shows or trails. Kane is has unbelievable movement that would shock dressage lovers. He would be a fun pony for a family to bring along for a child around the age of 8 or 9 to later develop into a performance pony. Kane is a nice size for riders up to the age of 12. Evaluated June 2010.

Evans Elan (Dazzle)- 13'2h, 2007 Sec B Welsh mare, $2500 Dazzle is a forward moving, all-around type pony who could do it all in 4H. PonyPros evaluated her June 2010 at Evans Welsh and her 11 year old student partner was begging to take Dazzle home with her! Dazzle shows natural talent for neck reining, is a pretty mover, and has great stamina. Dazzle is a great big pony mare who is currently about 13'2.

Evans Promised Land (Landy)- 13-13'2h, 2007 Sec B Welsh gelding, $2500 Landy is your typical nice gelding with a great temperament and steady disposition. Has been backed a few times and was great. Landy loves people and is very calm. He is a bit on the lazy side but will make a great pony for kids ages 5-13. Landy has outstanding conformation and is big bodied. He could go English or Western and would be great as an A-circuit hunter, or doing something casual like trail riding or 4H. He's very handsome and friendly. Evaluated by PonyPros June 2010.

Witch Wood Trivial Pursuit- 13'2h, 2005 Welsh/Pinto gelding, $6500 Ponies do not get any better than this! Percy is the ideal pony. He is quiet, obedient, easy, and fun. He goes right into the canter from a walk and canters slowly and calmly, perfect for a child. He goes English and Western and is great on the trail. Percy is absolutely stunning to watch. He is new to jumping but is trustworthy and calm - would be a great confidence builder. Percy is started on his flying changes and gets them most of the time. He is great about hauling to new places and is a good show pony. Percy is VERY good with kids and beginners. He is a lovely, lovely gelding, well worth the price.

Ten Pine Lacey's Golden Dream (sold)- 2 yo mare, will mature 12'1h Gilly is from a long line of dream family ponies. We have had six of her siblings and all have been the absolute perfect ponies. They are quiet, have slightly more whoa than go, and are smooth as silk to ride. They travel straight, stepping through their wide shoulders beautifully, with a naturally round topline and low head carriage. They are adorable over jumps and great on the trail. These beautiful little palomino ponies are wonderfully bombproof and affectionate. They are some of the only ponies that can be shared between a whole family, including mom and the toddler, and will love all the children the same. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a Sanaltas High Caliber x Sanalta Golden Lace pony.

Spencer had the best equitation and Rusty was smooth and collected. He also backed perfectly. Spencer can also load him in the horse trailer by herself now by simply pointing him at it."

They also won first place in English Equitation. This is ten year olds and under. Spencer is the youngest and Rusty is the smallest pony in the class. Then they did keyhole, poles and barrels. We don't practice gaming and do it for fun only at the show. They got fifth, third, and fifth respectively."
